Uig is famous for its beaches, yet there is so much more on offer, we have listed a few of the attractions below, but you will quickly find your own way around, your own discoveries.

The Community Centre is home to the museum and is another hub of the community, hosting special evenings and often entertainment it is well worth checking out.

The Lewis Chessmen

Lewis ChessmenUig beach is the site where the Lewis Chessmen were found. They were featured in the film 'Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone' and inspired the children's animation 'Noggin the Nog'. They were carved over 800 years ago from walrus ivory and replicas can be seen in the Uig Heritage Centre in Timsgarry.

Boat Trips
